From October 2–5, 2025, our church family had the wonderful opportunity to take part in the European Wesleyan Gathering, held at the Baltic Seminary in Tallinn, Estonia.
Although Pastor Vatroslav Župančić was unable to attend, our community was represented by Martina Lukić, Chair of our Lay Council, who shared her experiences and reflections from this inspiring event.
The Gathering brought together brothers and sisters from across Europe and beyond.
Countries represented included: Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Germany, India, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, North Macedonia, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Denominations represented were: The Free Methodist Church Europe, The Global Methodist Church, The Wesleyan Church, Church of the Nazarene, United Methodist Church, Estonia Methodist Church, Methodist Church in India, and Independent Methodist.
Each group had the chance to briefly share about their ministry and the work God is doing among them. Hearing these stories was a true blessing and encouragement for everyone present.
As Martina shared, one of the most meaningful impressions from this time of fellowship was the reminder that God values small and humble beginnings. We believe this is also a message for our own church community — still small in number, but growing slowly and steadily. We are called to remain steadfast in what He has placed on our hearts, trusting that His timing is perfect, even when results don’t appear as quickly as we might hope.
Throughout the Gathering, one Bible verse kept surfacing again and again—spoken by participants from many different denominations—serving as a unifying message for us all:
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
— Acts 1:8
We truly believe that this is a message from God for each of us today — a call to be faithful witnesses wherever He sends us, trusting in the power of the Holy Spirit to guide and strengthen us.”
