To our Friends, Fellow Servants, and Partners in the Gospel
I greet you in the name of our Risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on this first day of May, 2022, as we celebrate a new beginning with the launch of the Global Methodist Church (www.globalmethodist.org). I give thanks for each of you – for your love of God and your neighbors, for your faithfulness to the Lord Jesus Christ, and for your winsome witness for the Gospel.
God has entrusted to us the message of salvation and reconciliation for all people. Jesus, Emmanuel, demonstrates the love of God and offers us new life. Through His life, death, and resurrection, the dividing wall created by our sin which separated us from God, has been destroyed. God is present among us even now through the presence of the Holy Spirit, who lives in each of us. We are utterly dependent upon the transforming power of God the Holy Spirit to fulfill God’s calling on each of us to be salt and light in this generation.
I pray for each of you. You are known, loved, and called by our Creator God to be ambassadors of this message of forgiveness, new life, and transformation. He has called us to go into all the world beginning with our closest neighbors to share of His matchless love. He is at work even now in and through you. May we lift Jesus high so that He may draw all people to Himself.
Now is the time – God’s time – for us to be about the work of making disciples of Jesus Christ who worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly. I am humbled to labor with you in fields ripe for harvest, all for the honor and glory of Jesus the Christ.
Receive this blessing: “Now may the God of peace – who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, and ratified the eternal covenant with His blood – may He equip you with all you need for doing His will. May He produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to Him. All glory to Him forever and ever. Amen” Hebrews 13:20–21 (NLT)
In Christ,
